Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Haggl's website and waitlist. Haggl is developing tools to help consumers negotiate vehicle purchases. By using the site or submitting your email, you agree to these Terms. This is a starter template — have it reviewed by legal counsel before launch.

1. The service

We provide informational content and a waitlist for a future product. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell a vehicle, negotiate on your behalf, or provide financial, legal, or tax advice. Features described are forward-looking and may change or never ship.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet any minimum age requirements (typically 18+). Do not use the site if you cannot agree to these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any law or third-party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
  • Interfere with the site, scrape it in a way that harms performance, or overload our infrastructure
  • Use the site to send spam, malware, or misleading communications

4. Waitlist and communications

By joining the waitlist, you agree we may email you about Haggl, including product and launch updates. You can opt out of marketing messages when we provide an unsubscribe mechanism. Transactional or legal notices may still be sent where permitted.

5. Intellectual property

The site, branding, text, graphics, and other content are owned by Haggl or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reuse them except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

6. Third-party links

The site may link to third parties. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

7. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND WAITLIST ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HAGGL AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US.

9. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Haggl against claims arising from your misuse of the site or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Changes

We may modify these Terms or the site. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where allowed by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless your jurisdiction requires otherwise. Courts in that state (or as required) have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
